Move to Aldershot Town rules Alex Rodman out of England C squad.

England C  Manager Paul Fairclough was forced to make an early change to the squad he initially named to face Belgium next week, following the move of Alex Rodman to Aldershot Town.

The Shots new boss Dean Holdsworth swooped for the 23-year-old Tamworth forward to take him into League football after he had scored ten goals this season, including a hat-trick in Holdsworth's final game as manager of Newport County.

Rodman has represented the England C team once, scoring in their 2-2 draw with Wales in October, and has also previously played five times for the Three Lions in Futsal, the small-sided game.

Previous clubs included Nuneaton Borough, Gainsborough Trinity, Grantham and Leamington and Rodman made a goalscoring start for the League Two outfit, scoring a late consolation in their 2-1 defeat at Gillingham.

Guiseley FC's James Walshaw was drafted in to replace the frontman, only to withdraw and be replaced by Wrexham's Andy Mangan.
